CoolscrapsDigital July Quickpage Contest

This is a quick post as I'm just back from camping and realised the QP contest at Coolscrapsdigital was due in tomorrow.

Here's my entry (Using Happiness kit by PrettyJu which has loads of lovely papers and elements);

As per the contest rules it is 8x8 inches.

Quickpage Freebie

Now I have a bit of free time, I've been carrying on with the lessons I signed up for at Hummie's world.

The latest one was about Hue, Saturation and Value, which I found quite easy to understand, but quite hard to end up with a layout I was happy with, although I did eventually get there.

Here is the layout I made, using the colour of the t-shirt, and then moving the slider to get the other colours;

I decided to offer it as a quickpage too

Coolscrapsdigital QP contest entry - June

I missed out on the QP contest last month as I was away on holiday, and got my dates mixed up, so I've done my entry early this month (just to be on the safe side).

The kit we got to use this month is 'Devout Memories', by Kakleidesigns, and it is a glorious kit to work with. I just love the look of old books and antique looking elements and enjoyed creating this layout.

Beach Paradise by Wilma4ever

Wilma4ever has the most gorgeous kit available in her store at Nuthouse-Scraps.

Beach Paradise has 12 beautiful pages and 70 elements, (and I wanted to use them all in my layouts but there were far too many).

Camp out layout and a Quickpage

I've been having a few problems getting out of holiday mode, that and the fact the children haven't been well but I've finally managed to make a layout and a quickpage for you;

This one is titled camp out, and I used some photos from our camping trip last year to the Lake District ( a place that only just has less rain than scotland - and we went in August).

The kit I used has been made by 'Statements by Jodi' and I just loved the colours and papers on this one, plus the fact it is part of a collaboration so there are plenty of other mini kits avaliable using the same colour scheme and theme.

Puddle Jumpers

There's a great new kit for you over at Gingerscraps. It's called 'Puddle Jumpers', and is just great for scrapping all those pictures you might have of your your children (and adults) splashing around in puddles.

I live in Scotland, and somehow, only have a handful of pictures of my little darlings splashing in puddles, yet it rains more often then not.

Here is a layout I made blending one of the papers with a photo I have. On this particular day, we decided to walk home from school through the park, not realising it was flooded - they didn't even have their wellies on!

Celtic Dreams Quick Page Set

Well it's the final week of the Studio Spring Fling design contest, and for this week, I decided to make you four quickpages.

I've really enjoyed participating in the contest, especially as I have never designed before and I have learned so so much, that and it's given me a taste of what goes into designing, and I can tell you, the store designers have my utmost respect, it can be hard work (week 2 definetly was).

Anyway, thank you to all of you who have downloaded my kit, and for the comments. I read every single one and they have really spurred me on.

Free Quickpage (Roses)

I made a quickpage as part of the 'CU pack for a Freebie' at Coolscrapsdigital.com. We had to make a freebie using Adie's Designs 'Flower set 2'; four beautiful roses and some bubbles.

As I'm still learning how to do elements, I thought I would make a quickpage instead (and I'm quite pleased with myself as I have finally learned how to get a pattern on to a paper);

I now CT for Statements by Jodi who you can find over at Gingerscraps.com, it's a great little site with the gingerbread theme running through it and Jodi is an excellent designer.

Her latest kit is 'Hard hats required', a kit I have the perfect picture for, but which I can not find anywhere on my pc, anyway, here's a preview of the full kit;


I made a layout using the add on for this kit. I just loved the orange and stripey paper and all the elements;

Well, decided to be brave and enter a quickpage contest (not that I have any chance of winning) but it was good fun. I've decided i'm awful when spoilt for choice, far too many frames and elements to choose from, it took me ages to decide what to do - ages!

A freebie quickpage for you

I've been having a play around with photoshop today. I tried making a colour pallette and attempted to use some of the commercial use items I keep downloading so I thought I would share them with you. It took me hours to make this. Hours!

So, if just one person has an use for this quickpage, I'll be happy. I'm not too impressed with it myself but I didn't want to waste it.

For some reason I couldn't get the txt file to stay saved as a txt file (it kept going to jpeg) so I'll post them here;
