Fruit Basket Plums - Statements by Jodi

This is a layout I made using Statement by Jodi's 'Fruit Basket Plum' kit.

I'm a little late in posting it as the design contest kept me busy but playing catchup and I think I've finally caught up.

Camp out layout and a Quickpage

I've been having a few problems getting out of holiday mode, that and the fact the children haven't been well but I've finally managed to make a layout and a quickpage for you;

This one is titled camp out, and I used some photos from our camping trip last year to the Lake District ( a place that only just has less rain than scotland - and we went in August).

The kit I used has been made by 'Statements by Jodi' and I just loved the colours and papers on this one, plus the fact it is part of a collaboration so there are plenty of other mini kits avaliable using the same colour scheme and theme.

And here is the quickpage I made, using as many papers and elements as I could;

Puddle Jumpers

There's a great new kit for you over at Gingerscraps. It's called 'Puddle Jumpers', and is just great for scrapping all those pictures you might have of your your children (and adults) splashing around in puddles.

I live in Scotland, and somehow, only have a handful of pictures of my little darlings splashing in puddles, yet it rains more often then not.

Here is a layout I made blending one of the papers with a photo I have. On this particular day, we decided to walk home from school through the park, not realising it was flooded - they didn't even have their wellies on!

Here's another layout I made (using those great elements)

Here is a preview of the mini kit

Flower Shop: Quickpage

I've got a quickpage for you today, I made it using 'Flower Shop' (Statements by Jodi).

It's a mini kit, but it has so many great elements, (can you tell I like the sunflowers?)

This great little kit is only $2, and you can get it here.

And here is the QP, just click on the image to start your download.

Cupcake Wrapper Template

I decided this product requires a post of it's own, especially since the designer of it, Boop Designs very kindly allowed me to offer you a download using her template, but only for the next twentyfour hours.

Boop Designs has a variety of printable templates and this link will take you directly to them. There's candy wrappers, light switch templates and more; last but not least is the Cupcake wrapper.

Here in the UK, cupcakes are all the rage, and a little fairy cake costing just 30 odd pence to make can sell for anything up to £2.50 where I live. I toyed with the idea of cake making but still have to get the old enviromental health down to check my kitchen yet, so I'm no further along with that idea, but these wrappers are ideal for personalising a special event. I'll be using them for my boys next birthday, personalised of course.

You just print it out, cut it out, and pop your little cupcake inside.

So here it is, the freebie...but as Boop designs kindly allowed this download it is only avaliable until 11pm (GMT time) tomorrow (6th April);

The design I used was 'Flower Shop' (Statements by Jodi). If I were doing a special occasion party I would make several different designs, with matching icing, and it would all blend in very professionaly. (I'd use the pinks and yellows myself - I just love 'em).

Cupcake Wrappers

I've been playing around with photoshop again today, andin searching through one of the digital scrapbooking stores I can across a cupcake wrapper template, well, I was hooked and had to buy it as I do a fair bit of cooking from time to time (especially for the school fetes), and I thought these were great.

So, as i'm CTing (if that's even a word) for a couple of designers, I thought I'd try their designs out on the templates, I even got as far as printing and cutting one out and they look quite good, they'd look even better if my printer was half decent.

I'll need to do some baking done tomorrow and test them out, but for now I'd like to share the two I did with you, I should also point out that these are for mini cupcake/fairy cakes, I'll have a play around to get them to the more standard size.

The first one is using the kit 'Hard Hats Required' and the second 'Flower shop,' both by Statements by Jodi of Gingerscraps, and to Boopdesigns, for the template;

Gingerscraps 'Cookie Cutter' Challenge [April]

I've had a bit of a mad layout making day today, seeing as it's mother's day over here and I've had my feet up all down, so I thought I'd take part in one of the challenges over at Gingerscraps.

The cookie cutter challenge is actually a template challenge, and this is what I came up with;

I used 'Hard Hats Required' (Statements by Jodi). For a free quick page using this set go here.
